italiastar Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Has anyone got a Navman 520 (or 510) SAT NAV and does it work in ShaGalBra (or whatever the name is) with a heated windscreen? I'm thinking of getting one and would like to know. Quote
morticiaskeeper Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 I've used one in a Primera with heated screen with no problems (ICN510) Quote

Dally Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Has anyone got a Navman 520 (or 510) SAT NAV and does it work in ShaGalBra (or whatever the name is) with a heated windscreen? I'm thinking of getting one and would like to know. My Wife has a 510 that we use in her fiesta (with a heated windscreen) and it works fine but we tend to mount it right next to the A pillar where there are less wires. I have tried this out in my galaxy on a couple of occassions and it seemed fine too. Quote
Davetheref Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 I've got a Mitac Mio with Tom Tom and works fine. Never had to use the GPS extension lead supplied. Quote
Guest MATT Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 Iv got an ICN510 - works fine with the heated screen on or off. i normally keep it where the A pillar is - just for better viewing - and seeming less clobber on the windscreen - works fine. i do find sometimes it takes ages to get a signal - however, it can take ages when its in open air - so dunno why that is. the ICN510 - does not have full postcode recognition - summat you might want to consider. Guest rob W Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 I have a 520 and yes it works ok but takes a long time to get a signal.I invested in an external ariel from ebay and its much quicker now.The external ariel has a magnetic base and the wire goes out of the door. so can swap it about easy from car to car.Rob Quote
